Mojo 1.1 Released, Now Accepting Community Contributions To The Compiler

Last month Modular's Mojo language was open-sourced following the acquisition of Modular by Qualcomm. Modular was the AI startup founded by Chris Lattner of LLVM and Swift fame. Released today was Mojo 1.1 and also marks the project recently now beginning code contributions from the community to its compiler.

Mojo 1.1 and MAX 26.6 were released today with MAX 26.6 bringing support for audio generation with MiniMax-Music3. The kernels have also been sped up across AMD and NVIDIA GPUs.

Mojo 1.1 adds support for inferred member references, improved compile times and better generated code performance, and more APIs are now considered stable in their standard library such as for SIMD. Plus the Mojo development process is now further opened with accepted community contributions to the Mojo compiler.
